This writer’s retreat is open to everyone — poets and novelists, aspiring and experienced! Whether you have always dreamed of writing but haven’t yet put pen to paper or are on your fifth manuscript but need a spark to reignite your writing pursuit, we would be delighted to have you along for this journey through Paris and Provence.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please complete the Le Salon Writer’s Retreat Application below to submit your application.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Kristina Mahr will review all writer applications to ensure we build a strong, cohesive, complementary group of writers with whom to take this journey.
Applicants will be notified via email within 2 weeks of application submission date.
To ensure that you receive notifications and updates about your application, please add the following email addresses to your safe senders list: kristina.mahr@gmail.com and lauren@charlottetoparis.com.
Accepted writers: complete your trip registration for Le Salon within 1 week (7 days) of acceptance by completing the Registration Deposit and Traveler Agreement instructions emailed to you upon your acceptance. *Failure to complete these steps within the 1 week window will result in relinquishment of your spot.* Trip Registration includes completing two items:
Registration Deposit ($500 - Full Retreat / $300 - Experience Only).
Traveler Agreement form.
Waitlisted writers: Once all spots are full, applicants will be added to a wait list and informed as soon as possible of an opening, at which time their Trip Registration (deposit and traveler agreement) will be due within 24 hours before we reach out to the next applicant on the wait list.

FEBRUARY 2025
Lauren will send out a questionnaire to all travelers for your custom Paris-Provence guidebook. This questionnaire will help her learn more about you, your interests and how you want to spend your solo time in Paris and Aix-en-Provence.
Kristina and Lauren will also host our first monthly Zoom meet & greet to get to know our fellow travelers!
Monthly payments due on 2/15.
Traveler Pre-Work:
Complete your Le Salon Travel Checklist (PDF upon registration). Key checklist items: confirm you have valid international travel documents (e.g. your passport, EU travel authorization), and purchase airfare.
Complete and return your traveler questionnaire to Lauren.

Any questions about your specific solo travel plans during Le Salon are welcomed as well - it can help others to hear what’s on your mind!
Weekly countdown emails from Lauren with key pre-trip reminders, language and culture insights, and how to make packing light and easy for those train rides!
Final trip payments due on 5/15.
JUNE 2025
You’ll receive the last couple of weekly countdown emails from Lauren with key reminders before Le Salon begins.
Then we’ll see you in Paris! BON VOYAGE!
LE SALON TRIP PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Unless otherwise agreed upon in advance with Le Salon trip hosts, all writers will be invoiced in 4 payments for their retreat fees according to the following schedule.
All trip payments must be received no later than May 15, 2025 (30 days prior to the start of Le Salon).
